A sketch which leaks online today reveals that HMD Global may launch a Nokia device that might have Penta lens camera setup on the back, something very similar to Nokia OZO camera, and the device is going to be released later this year. The device may be pronounced as Nokia 10 and maybe debut at MWC 2018 alongside with rumored Nokia 9.
The sketch reveals a circular ring interlinked with seven circles and according to a source, the camera module has five rear lenses with two LED flash and one sensor on the circular ring. These five lenses were used for optical Zoom, Blur image, wide angle, Panorama and much other shooting stuff. The design is similar to Nokia powered Windows Phone 8 handset known as Lumia 1020 which has a 41MP sensor and six lenses and was launched in 2013.
Possible, with Penta lens setup HMD Global might be adopting rotating Zoom camera tech from Zeiss as back in days most of the Nokia devices have Zeiss feature in camera setup. Currently, the phone is in a development stage and may be available in second half of 2018.
The sketch also reveals that the device also going to supports a rear fingerprint scanner as there is another circle below the circular ring. The device also going to feature a bezel-less design. The display panel may be coupled with a tall aspect ratio of 18:9.
The same source also reveals that the device is going to be different from any other Nokia devices having double glass design both on front and back side including upcoming Nokia 9, Nokia 10 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
We are now looking forward to MWC 2018 where most of the flagships smartphone are unveiled, HMD Global hold an event there on February 25 and Nokia 4, Nokia 7(2018), Nokia 9, Nokia 1 Android Go Edition are likely to be unveiled there.
